Guideline – investment rental income

When purchasing an investment property it is common for borrowers to use income from a lease on the subject property to qualify.  Beginning July 27th it will be a requirement that the borrower have TWO years of property management experience (2 years history owning rental properties as shown by tax returns) in order for that rental income to count. 

New investors will be forced to qualify carrying the investment properties mortgage payment in addition to their other debts.
